We follow the Monster Phonics programme from Reception to the end of Year 2. Additional Monster Phonic interventions are provided for children in Year 3 and above, who require further time to consolidate their phonic knowledge. Here’s an introductory video:

During the early reading stage, children use our early reading scheme of Monster Phonic reading books available in both paper and ebooks, which reinforces the sounds they have learnt for early fluency. Children will remain on Monster Phonic books until they have reached the end of the phonics programme. Have a look at how our Monsters link to colours, so you can help at home.
