As a school we are proud to have been awarded the 360 Safe Mark for our work to ensure Online Safety is a key priority for all at our school.
The assessor commented that: “The Online Safety Curriculum is a clear area of strength within the school. It is fully embedded and staff demonstrate confidence and consistency in its delivery. Leaders make proactive use of evidence gathered from surveys and questionnaires, ensuring that feedback directly informs ongoing curriculum evolution. Continuous professional development supports staff in delivering the OLS curriculum with assurance and expertise. The strong collaborative culture within the school further enhances this work, with staff supporting one another effectively and operating as a cohesive team. The online safety lead has an excellent understanding of how the curriculum can be adapted to ensure pupils at Bushbury Hill primary school acquire the skills they need to stay safe in their online world.”
Current Issues
Upper KS2 pupils at Bushbury Hill Primary recently took part in an online safety survey which helped us to identify the things that children are worrying about. Here are the results.

As you can see, Spending too much time online, Online Bullying, Hate Content and Deep fakes are currently some of the top issues worrying our pupils.

As you can see, Online Relationships, Gaming addiction, Online Scams, Adult Content and Hate Content are currently some of the issues our children see as the biggest problems they may experience.

Together we can help to support, guide and help to ease some of these worries. Parental support in online safety is crucial for shielding children from digital risks like cyberbullying, inappropriate content, and data misuse. Proactive engagement, such as open communication, establishing, and implementing technical controls, empowers children to navigate the internet responsibly, fostering digital literacy and a safer virtual environment.
