Year 6 reading peers support the reading of the younger children within school.  They support, encourage and promote the importance of reading to more reluctant readers to ensure that they can improve their love of reading within school and at home. The children give up their own time to sit with the younger children to listen to them read, check their keyword understanding and develop their confidence in reading.
